eGEN - Women on board in ICT, engineering and innovation - ECWT at ICT 2010

The European Centre for Women and Technology (ECWT) is among the invited exhibitors at ICT 2010,  the key ICT event organized by the European Commission the 27-29 September 2010 in Brussels.

The ECWT Networking Session ' eGEN - women on board in ICT, technology and innovation' on Tuesday the 28 September at 16:00-17:30 in room 1101, Brussels Expo will give short live presentations of the added value of the gender dimension in ICT, engineering and innovation and invite to discussion around future collaboration and new projects:

 

  • Scuola di Robotica, Italy (Fraunhofer’s Roberta goes EU);
  • Cyber3Lab and the Lifecycle Engineering Solutions Center (LESC) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) – Professor Dr. Jivka Ovtcharova;
  • EduWear –intelligent clothes for girls of tomorrow (dimeb-University of Bremen)- Professor Dr.Heidi Schelhowe;
  • The first Nordic think-tank for speeding up technology to the market - T2M owned and developed by Anita Krohn Traaseth, Simula AS, Norway
  • The experiences from the FEMTEC - EuroWistdom project and network (girls in the media);
  • SmartEN –smart management for sustainable human environment. (FP7), •Cyprus University of Technology, •Professor Toula Onoufriou;

    In a moderated discussion after the presentations, experiences and research results will be shared and further opportunities for European interdisciplinary collaboration will be explored and the basis for new alliances for cooperative European projects will be created.
