The start-up meeting of the Norwegian National Point of Contact resulted in broad national overview of key Norwegian public, private actors, academias and NGO's efforts to support the women and technology issues in Norway.

 On July 25th the European Commission has presented to the European Parliament, the Council, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions, a Communication titled "Tackling the pay gap between women and men". The report explains the meaning of gender pay gap specifying as there are considerable differences between the Member States in this regard: ita ranges  from 4% (MT) to 25% (EE, CY).

 According to the latest EU survey young people in general and young Swedish women in the County of Sörmland in specific prefer to choose there future workplace in the service sector and the media. For many years in the past women's first priority was to work in public services.
