ECWT's National Contact Points in place in the Netherlands and Hungary

ECWT is delighted to announce that two oragnaizations with longstanding experiences and a considerable reference list of national and EU Project in women and technology have accepted to function as the National Point of Contact (N-PoC) of the ECWT in the Netherlands and Hungary.

The number of  ECWT N-PoCs in Europe has thereby reached 13 and 4 countries are planning start-up in the next half year.

VHTO - established in 1983 - is the Dutch National organisation for women in secondary education, vocational education, higher education and technical workfoce. VHTO has throughout the years gathered a considerable amount of quantitative and qualitative data about female technology students and engineers. Among other activities VHTO has developed a diagnostic and evaluation tool for active learning methods in tertiary engineering education including gender awareness. VHTO conducts various activities and projects aimed at better exploiting the talents of girls / women in science, ICT and the technology sector.

In Hungary NaTe, the Association of Hungarian Women in Science is taking leadership in setting up the Hungarian N-PoC

   The Association of Hungarian Women in Science was set up as an independent organization in 2008. Many founding members have, however, been active since and Technology foundation operating since 1994 and participating in a long list of FP7 projects focced on the women in science and technology agenda.
