A campaign for gender equality within the information society launched in Spain

 Promoting women’s use of IT is vital both to gender equality and to improving Spain’s internet access rates - this is the focus pf the agreement signed on 6th of October between the ITC and equality ministries in Spain. The agreement will run until 31 December 2010 and provide a coordinated approach to:Concrete action to promote development and access to the information society for women, while increasing their use of ITC;Exchange of information on participation indicators; Evaluating the financial assistance given for promotion schemes;Exchange of good practice examples, which should be made available to the public;Organising a congress during 2010 to publicise the action taken within the context of the agreement and the results achieved; Promoting other public initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality and women’s access to the information society, especially for women who face particular difficulties in participating;Promoting audio-visual media coverage of wo

Miljöpartiet avsätter medel till jämställda löner i sitt vårbudgetförslag

 Miljöpartiet de Gröna fortsätter att fördjupa sitt jämställdhetsarbete - de Gröna satsar i sitt förslag till vårbudget 170 miljoner kronor år 2008, 340 miljoner kronor år 2009 och 500 miljoner kronor år 2010 i en särskild pott för jämställda löner i statens verksamheter. - Miljöpartiet uttalar sig vara beredd att verka för att statskassan ska bidra med sin del för att skapa jämställda löner.
