Collaboration and innovation in focus at the Nordic Conference on Women's Entreprenuership and WRCs as key drivers of regional growth in Europe

189 participants from 16 European countries Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Norway, Poland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Åland and Gabon, Senegal and the USA, the European Commission and the Nordic Council participated on the 19th of October in Stockholm at the Nordic Conference on Women's Entrepreneurship with a Focus on Women's Resource Centres as Key Drivers of Regional Growth supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers, Nordregio, the Swedish Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Energy and Communications, NUTEK, the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, the Finnish Ministry of Interior, the FEM project, Luleå University of Technology, the County Administrative Board of Södermanland and NRC - The Swedish National Federation of Resource Centres for Women.

A guidebook' Supporting Women's ICT-Based Enterprises'
has recently been completed in the framework of the 'Women's ICT-Based Enterprise for Development' project coordi-nated by the University of Man-chester's Institute for Develop-ment Policy and Management. The project is funded by the UK Department for International Development as part of its 'Knowledge and Research' programme.

Delegationen för fördelning av statsbidrag för kvinnors organisering och jämställdhetsprojekt vill utveckla och förbättra fördelningen av statsbidraget för kvinnors organisering. Delegationen vill göra det i dialog med de organisationer som beviljats etablerings- eller organisationsbidrag 2006 och 2007.

The Know How Conference is hosted by Programa Universitario de Estudios de Genero (PUEG) and UNAM, in cooperation with the Know How Secretariat, and it is an initiative of the Know How Community, held once every four years.The Know How Community includes librarians, journalists, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) experts, researchers, indigenous and rura women's information workers, publishers, information activists representing excluded communities of women, from all parts of the world.
