Global Forum 2009 Proceedings - ICT and the Future of Internet

Global Forum, organized by Items International, the Sophia Antipolis Foundation in France and with the support of the European Commission is one of the most prestigious international events and Think Tanks, for the ITC field. The Forum is dedicated to the economical, political and social issues in connection to the development and innovation in the communication and information technology sectors.
The Forum is an invitation-only event, reserved for the ITC and political leaders, aiming to create a synergy between the political, technical and the civil society, with impact on the successful evolution of the Information Society.
The 18th edition of the Global Forum in year 2009 was organized in Romania with the support of the Romanian Presidency, the Romanian Government and other Romanian national agencies, governmental and not-for-profit associations.
At the Global Forum 2009 over 250 high-level politicians, corporates, academia and NGO representaives participated.
In 2010 the 19th edition of the Global Forum will take place in Washington, USA.
