HAMBURGER LIFE SCIENCES WEEK 2006

A N N O U N C E M E N T

For the first time in Hamburg the "Qualification Center LIFE Sciences" of TuTech Innovation GmbH  organizes together with partners  from economics and science  the first "Life Sciences  Week".

In the course of the week the topics are biotechnology, medical technology, foodstuffs industry as well as career opportunities in  the Life Sciences.
The central themes of the individual days are molecular onkologie, food for the future, new diseases and enzymes.  Representatives who work within this range, will report about trends, techniques and career opportunities within the life sciences. The program is specialized for participants  from economics and science as well as for the public and also students, postdocs and pupils.
Prof. Dr. Walter Leal, head of the department life sciences at TuTech Innovation GmbH: "We want to show and to strengthen the scientific competence of the local industry. Continuous training and the lifelong learning of all employees is a precondition for keeping up with the dynamic developments in the areas of industry, science and society.
Qualification with an eye to market development as offered by the "Qualification Centre LIFE Sciences Hamburg" of TuTech not only allows companies to realise and improve their potential, but also increases the chances for the creation of new positions at the same time. For young people there is a great opportunity to start their career in the life sciences."

The Qualification Centre LIFE Sciences Hamburg is a project of TuTech Innovation GmbH, this project is part-financed by the European Social Fund.
