The Department for Communities and Local Government, UK commissioned York Consulting to carry out research into the development and implementation of Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). The report presents findings of their analysis, exploring factors that drive the establishment of BIDs, the characteristics and progress to date of current BIDs, and what the future potential of BIDs might be.
