Hamburger INNOTECH Preis 2006

Carolyn Bendahan wins with her business idea
"Innovative System for the Production of Custom-Made Clothing".

Hundred guests from economics, science and politics celebrated on 28 March 2006 at TuTech Innovation GmbH the winners of the idea competition "Hamburger INNOTECH-Preis 2006".  Staatsrat Dr. Roland Salchow of the Behörde für Wissenschaft und Gesundheit outlined "Hamburg is on a good way for new innovative companies.  There are many young people with good ideas, courage and entrepreneur spirit." 

The jury evaluated in particular the degree of the innovation as well as the customer use of the business idea, the entrepreneur personality, the market analysis and the marketing strategy.
Carolyn Bendahan gets besides of money of  5,000 Euro also a set of public relation and corporate design strategy including the design of a logo and business paper, office mentoring, good quality professional advice, etc. in value of 15,000 Euro.

The decision was not easy:  Approximately thirty promising applications for the Hamburg INNOTECH price 2006 had to be evaluated by the jury which consisted of personalities from economics and science.  Six creative and promising business ideas from the industries biotechnology, information technology, production engineering, container logistics, communication services as well as aviation were nominated. 
All six nominated receive the free participation on a one-week "INNOTECH Summer School 2006".  Place 1 goes to Carolyn Bendahan, place 2 to the team Markus Volkmer & Sebastian Wallner with their business idea "keyXchange adaptive Security Technologies" (IT security).  The 3.  Price received Dr. Ulrich Malchow for his project "Tworty box" (container logistics).

Helmut Thamer, general manager of TuTech Innovation GmbH, appealed "the most important thing is the good idea.  Technology-oriented founders should ask for help.  There is many assistance in Hamburg. We will give encouraged students and researchers the support which is needed to translate their idea into a valuable business."
