Women as artists
The colours of a woman's soul
 Itis not an established tradition to open a collective exhibition of theworks of female artists in Hungary, to say the least. As an innovativeinitiative, an art-exhibition, displaying the works of 21 femaleartists, was opened in Debrecen.
Film,literature and theatre all have their characteristic methods tointerpret and show the essence of a woman's existence, mentality, andthinking. However, fine arts approach the internal mysteries offemininity and womanhood in yet another way.
Itwas not an objective of the collective exhibition of female artists toshow women magnificient or exposed. Rather, the basic idea of the2-week event was to present femininity in a delicate, unobtrusivemanner.
 Theworks created with different techniques are reflections of women withdifferent lives and characters on themselves and the world. Among thevarious creations there are aquarelles, ceramics, enamel pictures,textile works, silk batik, and dresses.
Theexhibition closed at the end of January, it cannot be viewedphysically, but the works of the artists are collected in a virtualplace on the Internet.
Hungarian women artists from Debrecen are sending their regards to WINNET members all through Europe.
